I'm playing world of warcraft with my younger brother. He's still a kid, a very obedient one. He plays a paladin and i play a warrior.
So last night, we were playing arena 2 v 2. He made a few silly mistakes, and one so bad our personal rating suffered a huge deflat. I was annoyed, and started talking to him in a very impatient tone. I said things like - stop playing like a noob and start using your brain! Omg hours of hardwork just went down the drain cause of you!
He knows i'm a very competitive person, and he does his best to keep up with my standards. He knows i hate losing in situations when we should not. I guess his mood was very affected, he became solemly quiet after our defeat... and after hearing my rants.
After that defeat, we went on a crazy winning streak. Still, he remained quiet... till suddenly, he cried on vent - "Bro, daddy is hitting me". I immediately told him to stop playing right away and do something, but on the screen i saw he was still healing me, and at the same time did a beautiful stun on the opposing healer so i could finish off the rogue. (it all happened within a minute)
I rushed to my brother's room, brought him to mine (all the while that crazy monster was screaming) and settled him down. He was sobbing non stop as i tried to find out what happened. Apparantly he was beaten for staying up late, but what the hell it's summer holidays and it was only 11pm? And what's more, he's not the kid that hangs around outside wasting away their life getting involved in fights and drugs. That father of ours is an extremely temperamental monster, and is ultra unreasonable. He was probably having a bad mood, hence the venting on my bro.
What affected me the most was, my little bro was crying, explaining what the monster did, and said:"I'm terribly sorry for the previous game we lost". OMFG I just want to return what that man did to my brother tenfold. No words can describe the rage, the sadness... all the screwed feelings welling up inside my stomach.
